Understanding Consistency In Writing

Consistency is a general principle of success. Irrespective of your field or career, if you want to succeed at anything, you must learn to be consistent in that thing.

Nevertheless, when it comes to consistency in writing, a whole lot of people still don’t really understand what it means to be consistent in/with writing.

So in this article, I’ll be explaining to you all you need to know about consistency when it comes to writing.

First, what is consistency? According to Cambridge dictionary it is, “The quality of always behaving or performing in a similar way, or of always happening in a similar way.”

It is also “the quality or condition of being consistent.”

Now, the second point I want you to note is that whenever you hear consistency as regards to writing, it refers to two things:

First…

The first is your attitude towards your writing skills. Then, the second is how you exhibit consistency while writing. Do you get that?

That means, the first consistency has to do with your attitude: how often do you write? How often do you show up to write? That is one area of consistency in writing.

Then…

The second has to do with how consistent you are while writing. It has to do with the orderly presentation of a set of associated elements in the text.

Consistency is an attitude; never forget that!

With this explanation, I believe you should be able to understand what consistency in/with writing is all about.
